no feathering whatsoever! amazing!
PostedJuly 15, 2015
I tried this product because of the numerous positive reviews I read here, and because I did not know what do to or what to try or buy in order to avoid the "feathering" effect of my lipsticks. This worked way passed my expectations! I got to a point I did not think anything would ever work, as I had tried many things and products in the past. I put on the primer, on my lips and a *little* around, on the skin too, let it dry for 5-10 minutes, put on my liner around and all over my lips, and finally put on the [MAC] lipstick over. Not only did the primer kept my lips and lipstick "moist" and somewhat shiny (for info, I do not wear matte lipstick, so I don't know if it would change that finish...), but after a whole evening in a very crowded and hot place, I came home and noticed NO feathering whatsoever. I couldn't believe it! I used to get the "grandma feathered lips-look" at the end of a night, and that with all my lipsticks, dark or light! I vividly recommend this product to anyone having the same problem: it works!

I have the driest lips, ever!
PostedJuly 1, 2015
I have some of the driest lips ever when I use the Matte "Pink Pigeon", and I actually was against buying "prep+prime" for lips....(like seriously, for my lips though? I can just use chap stick#, well, I bought this yesterday, and used it this morning, put it on, then let it 'dry' for about 30 seconds, then did my "Talking Points" lip pencil, and then applied the Pink Pigeon lipstick, and ohh, myy, goshh, I could tell such a huge difference in the feeling of just putting on the lipstick, and the overall look afterwards. I am beyond satisfied with this and it is well worth the money. Before I bought this, I read the reviews and saw that some people put chap stick on first, then the Prep+Prime, and I actually did put a little bit of chap stick on, then did my foundation and powder, eyes, etc. and my lips last. #I have not tried it without using my chap stick yet. But again, I highly suggest this product if you have dry lips, I really doubt you will be dissatisfied! Also, on the way to work, when I would drink my coffee, there was a lot less lipstick on the rim of my mug than before, and lasted through breakfast!

Must have for retro matte
PostedJune 27, 2015
After hearing so much about the famous ruby woo lipstick, and recently became bold enough to wear red lipstick, I decided to go buy it. After receiving the lipstick from an employee, she told me that I absolutely had to get the primer because "its extremely drying without it", as well as difficult to swipe on. With this, the lipstick glides on easier and is more smooth and creamy, as well as preventing the clumping that comes from the kaolin clay base pieces coming off the lipstick. I recommend this to anyone who is buying a retro matte lippie.

It breaks off & is wrong shape
PostedJune 18, 2015
While this product is good to prep the lips, the shape is too slanting and gets more so with use. The worst aspect of this product is that it invariably breaks off before it is finished so a bit is wasted. The design definitely needs tweaking!
