I was not sure about purchasing this at first. Let's be honest. MAC lipsticks are so amazing as it is. They stay on well, the color is amazing, they don't bleed, they're not drying even if its a matte...like, HOW much better could it really get? However, I decided to try it out anyway, and let me tell you, its great. As I said, my lippie was amazing before. Now, it is almost UNREAL. The primer did not mess with the matte finish of my lippie and it stayed on EVEN longer and better, which I did not think was possible. It goes on smoothly and absorbs in a minute or two. I would recommend letting it absorb first for best result, because that's what I did and it was amazing. While I dried, I just put on another coat of mascara. If you are worried about it breaking as some of the reviews stated, (I was too, key word WAS) just make sure that while you apply, you do not have the stick twisted up too much. Keep the tip fairly twisted down while applying. ugh this product is just amazing, MAC DOES IT AGAIN, GUYS. buy this. you won't regret it, especially if you're a lipstick girl like me. < 3

I first got prep and prime lip when I went into,store and explained that I had a Ruby woo matte lipstick, and found it hard to apply, one sweep of prep and prime lip, it applied amazingly!! Definitely recommend!

This is my absolute favorite lip primer. It not only helps create a moisturizing foundation but it also helps any other lip products last a long time. Even when I wipe my lip gloss or lipstick off, my lips will remain moisturized for the rest of the day. Usually my lips are dry unless I have lip balm, lip gloss or lipstick on them at all times so this is a great benefit.

This primer mosturizes n holds lip pencil n lipstick in place...it helps so that the lip products dont bleed or feather. apply it n apply lipliner then lip product n watch how long this will last up to 6 hours
