I used this underneath matte lipstick. I hoped that it would smooth out my lips. It does, but it is not life-changing.

It seems to help with keep lipstick on longer. I do feel like it keeps my lips more hydrated when I am using a long lasting(drying) lipstick.

Great prerequisite for matte lipsticks and stains. Goes on smooth. I wish this came in a traditional lipstick width.
