This is my fourth pair of Minnetonka moccasins... I wear them so much and am so active that even sturdy shoes like these just wear out. But the wonderful thing about these shoes is that they're soft and they fit unconventional feet! I normally wear a wide size, but I also have long, chunky toes, and most shoes are just torture. These have built-in width and a toe that is gently rounded, rather than tapered. Also, the toe area has more space height-wise, so my toes don't feel like they've been jammed into a vice. Normally to fit my toes I end up having to wear a shoe that's too long (7.5, for feet that are only really long enough for a 7). But not in Minnetonka! Their sizing is unusual, it's true. I wear a half size down (6.5). But my toes fit and the heel sits snug.
