Too big? Too small?

Ordered Top in Brown and Black, both in size 41-42BR, but only one fits. The Black one is 1/2" longer than the Brown. Thankfully Nordstrom's offers free returns. Also the strap is twisted in a bit and rubs my foot. Tried nearly boiling water to relax twist which it did for a bit. Guessing it will relax on its own as so many of you must have experienced the same problem . Four stars because, even though it's super cushy, of the size and twist issues.

My staple flip flop. Havaianas are the only ones I wear! I wear a Size 6, so wear 35 in these.
