I have several pairs of these pants. They fit me well (5'6", 160 lbs). The fabric is nice, it hangs well and is a nice weight. I always look professional when I wear them. They are understated, so set off a jacket or sweater nicely.

I spent a long time questing for the perfect black work pant, and these are it! These are so classic, sharp-looking, and flattering. I love how the fabric drapes, and how it resists wrinkles. The rise isn't too low or too high. These feel really nice on. I love that I can just throw these on in the morning and know that I will look professional. They pair beautifully with all kinds of tops. They are the great base for a fabulous dressed-up outfit (perfect for the office or for a night out), or can also be dressed down a bit for a more casual, but still put-together look. I am 5'9" and always appreciate when I can find pants that I can wear with heels! If you are between sizes, you may want to size down because I think these run a touch large. I bought these in black, and just ordered them in another color. I'm sure my second pair won't be the last, either, so Nordstrom and Lafayette, please don't discontinue these!

I love Lafayette 148 trousers - they run true to size, the fabric drapes nicely, and they maintain a polished look.
