Proscomfortable
The item did a very good job in smoothing the tummy, back, and thighs areas. I like the fact that it did not feel constricting; it felt like I was just wearing a control top nylons. Allow extra time to put it on, but once on it, it feels very comfortable. The biggest problem for me is that it is too long, it went past half my bra. I only stand 5'2". So connecting the straps provided to my bra was almost useless. I think if they include Petites in their sizing, this would address the problem. Connecting the straps to the bra was confusing. The instruction included wasn't very clear.

should have practiced putting this on before my big event. Instructions say to lay out and hook the (4) straps to your bra before putting it on...so when you step into it....you have to pull your bra over your hips.
What a contraption! My husband referred to it as an erector set. I couldn't figure out how to get the straps hooked to the bra so that I didn't have the excess straps sticking out and creating bumps under my dress.
I felt like it was migrating south and was tugging it up all evening. It seemed too long.

Initially bought the XL because the reviews said it ran small, but I found it ran big. Also, I've never used the straps and didn't need to.

Best shaper for clothes that bare shoulders

Prossmoothing
I'm 5'5" and size 6 so not overweight, but after having 2 kids I definitely have a few lumps and bumps that need smoothing in form fitting clothes. I love TC Intimates shapers, but haven't found one that works to smooth both torso and thighs in a dress that bares shoulders or upper back. So the Slim Cognito is my solution, and it does the trick. With a particularly form fitting dress, I wear two to completely eliminate all lumps and bumps.
