Longevity: 10/10. Alien is legendary for being a "beast mode" fragrance. Even with recent reformulations, it lasts 8-12+ hours on skin and days on clothes. Sillage (Projection): High. This is a "room filler." You do not need to overspray this. People will smell you before they see you

What’s Happening With Angel’s Formula?

I’ve been wearing Angel by Mugler for well over ten years, and it has always been my signature scent. Unfortunately, the current version is noticeably different. The depth, richness, and longevity that made Angel so iconic seem to be missing now. As someone who knows this fragrance intimately, the change is very obvious… it no longer smells the same on my skin, nor does it last as long as it used to.
I still have some of my previous bottle left, and the difference in performance is undeniable. The older formula would easily last into the next day, while the current version fades much sooner. Because of this change, I will not be purchasing a new bottle unless the original formula is brought back.
I’m truly disappointed, as Angel is a perfume I’ve repurchased faithfully for years. I hope Mugler takes long time customers’ feedback seriously, as many of us fell in love with the original formulation and deeply miss it.

Nothing like the original bottle’s fragrance

Unfortunately, the refill just does not smell anything like my original bottle of alien.
