This scent is somewhat of an exotic floral that is slightly muted, and has a hint familiar to me from Giorgio, back in the day. New, but not, in a pleasant sort of way.

I have been wearing Alien since 2009. It's my ride or die favorite perfume and I gotta tell ya, Loreal royally screwed up the formula since they acquired the company from Clarins. A few months back I was almost out of my last Alien bottle and I had ordered a new bottle for when I ran out. I ended up getting Covid later that month and lost my smell for a bit. When my smell came back, I had opened up the new bottle that came in the mail and it just didn't smell right to me. Months went by with me thinking that Covid had affected my smell and I could only half smell things, until I find out this week that good ol' Loreal reformulated the Alien perfume and made it weaker. I remembered that I had a travel size Alien I bought two years ago for trips and I got it out and VOILA ... IT SMELLED HOW IT SHOULD. Nothing was ever wrong with my nose, Loreal just RUINED the depth and the character of the Alien and made it a weak, watered down version that doesn't last. I could use ONE spray of the old formula and it would last 2 days.. four sprays of the new one doesn't even last 4 hours. PLEASE FIX THIS LOREAL!

I don’t get the hype behind this perfume. I found it obnoxious and too strong. It smells cheap to me.
