I bought this jacket for my husband in asphalt grey and he loves it. It is very thin, not lined, but is water-proof and I'm guessing somewhat wind-proof as well. He's between a L and XL, so went with the XL because North Face tends to run small. The XL is a little loose, but the L may have been a bit small; the XL still fit comfortably. The quality and construction are great, as all North Face products are. I would recommend this jacket just to add a little warmth and coverage during spring and summer.
My husband and I frequently walk together and I had bought the women's Venture for walking because it is light but very rain proof. Since we live in the Pacific Northwest we are often caught in rain showers while out walking. At the time I bought mine I asked him if he would like one for himself but he declined saying he didn't need another light jacket. I was not surprised that the first time we got caught in a heavy shower and he got soaked he asked me to order one for him! He has never owned a jacket in size large but I used the size chart and took his measurements before ordering and am glad I did because he measured closer to the large and it is a good fit for him. Thus my reason for clicking 'a little small'. I would recommend measuring for this one.
