More Shimmer than Shine

Even though this lipstick is not what I was expecting, I still love it! Since it was called Butter Shine, I was expecting the shine of a gloss, but it has more shimmer than shine. Adore U is a sheer, copper color that it very versatile. The texture is very smooth, moisturizing and creamy, I’m African American and Adore U looks great on me.
I love this lip color for summer. Gives enough sheer color that actually stays on better then similar products on market. Beautiful selection of colors. I have bought this in a variety of colors since it first came out. As I get older I do need a lips pencil with it to prevent bleeding into those pesky lines.

My perfect red

I have red hair so it's difficult to find red lipstick that does not clash. THIS is the ONE! In the tube it looks like it has more pink tones, but on it is true red - at least for me. Not too pink, not too orange and not too dark. Also, the texture is soft and moisturizing - not stiff and drying. Cons: this is not a long wearing lipstick. I have to re-apply every few hours.

Love these lipsticks from Clinique and have several colors. The Adore U is a perfect nude with shine...not too brown, not too pink. Feels great on your lips.
