I ordered 3 pairs of these and sadly had to return all 3 of them (thanks to Nordstrom's awesome return policy, of course). I had been eyeing a pair of Jack Rogers for a really long time and finally made up my mind to order a pair. I ordered a pair in the colors gold, black, and another black for my mom. I received them and instantly tried them on and they felt so tight (I ordered mine in a size 7.5 Wide because I have a fairly wider foot) I could hardly put my foot all the way through. I decided to wear them around the house for a few days almost weeks so did my mom but we couldn't handle it. I got enormous blisters and could hardly walk too long with the black sandals on so I decided to return them. I broke the gold ones in a week after receiving them and nothing was wrong until one day I was walking back home and the left sandal had unglued almost completely (mind you I had never walked in rain with them on). I was so heartbroken because I had wanted a pair for so long but they were just not the best pair of sandals one could have. I returned the gold ones and the black ones I had bought for my mom, fearing that the same thing would happen to hers if she kept them.
After all that, I had been vigorously been looking for a pair of Palm Beach Sandals (the originals) and found the nicest lady on Poshmark that sold me 3 pairs of new ones for only $50 each. Couldn't be happier with these. It actually feels like my feet are being cushioned and I'm not slipping on any surface.
Moral of the story: Please don't waste your money on these! Just buy a pair of real Palm Beach Sandals, they're literally the same price as the Jack Rogers and you don't have to waste time and skin breaking them in.
I followed the reviews and ordered a half size larger. The reviews stated the width ran narrow so to accommodate order a half size larger. I found the medium width is a bit tight, but ordering a half size larger does nothing but give you a shoe that’s too big. Stay with your true size. I’m sure in time the width will give and it will fit fine!
Love my Jacks! They are a "summer staple" in my closet. I throw on a cute dress and my Jacks and out the door I go looking put together and stylish! So many cute styles and colors to choose from!!! I am always on the hunt for my next pair.
