A new AE classis in my opinion

The Delray, in my opinion, is a flagship classic of Allen Edmonds. I recently purchased my 4th pair of these in Coffee color (and I still wear the initial pair I bought 11 years ago). They can be dressed up or worn casually and are a good compromise between the square and pointy fashion extremes. The coffee color is an exceptional shade of brown and I appreciate the burnishing of the color throughout the shoe. Two aesthetic improvements I noticed in this latest pair are a slightly darker outsole, and the darker insole with the copper lettering. The ONLY improvement i would suggest would be the addition of a heel pad--some AE's have one, some don't. These are comfortable enough without it but it would upgrade the shoe even more. But a fantastic shoe nonetheless!

I have many pair of Allen Edmonds shoes. I really like the look and feel of the Delray shoe. I love the recrafting that Allen Edmonds offers.... they are returned in mint condition !!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the classic but casual look. You can dress them up or down with a pair of jeans. I have been wearing AE's for years and happy I pulled the trigger on these.

I bought my first pair of AE shoes 30 years ago when leaving the Air Force and interviewing for a civilian job. Although they seemed expensive, the comfort, quality, and ability to have them restored to almost new condition every few years made them the only dress shoes I wear. I introduced them to my son and son-in-law and their experiences are the same. Keep up the great work!
