Beautiful, On-Trend Duo

Proseasy to blend, long-lasting, trendy
I recently bought St-paul-de-vence duo and as a longtime devotee of Nars, I thought this duo was exceptional in texture, longevity, and color was true to pan (compared to other duos I own) -- this duo is part of their new Nude collection as is Valhalla eyeshadow (which I also own) and I think the Valhalla is gorgeous as sheer wash over lid for spring BUT the St-Paul is perfect for summer looks; Pair it with sheer, luminous skin, well groomed brows, and bronzer.

Proseasy to blend
I'm a pale porcelain complexion with blue/grey/green eyes, and I love green. For years I've been trying to get a green look for eye shadow that fitted my "me but better" makeup style, i.e. a fairly natural look. I had the makeup artist at the NARS counter in Nordstrom try this duo on me and voila - the holy grail lovely MBB look I've been after. Woot! Previously, I've tried Urban Decay colors and a Lancome set. I like those brands and their shadows, partiularly UD, but NARS has the winner.

Not What I Expected

I was looking for a brown eyeshadow duo, and I came across this one from Nars. After looking at the colors online, I thought that "Key Largo" was very pretty so that is what I was going to buy. Looking at the image online, the colors were sparkly and had a nice contrast so to speak. Well, the online image was deceiving. The colors were dull and skin-toned. My skin tone is a little darker than fair, and these colors did nothing for my eyes...if anything I looked washed-out. I was so disappointed. I will be returning this purchase.

Proseasy to blend, long-lasting
I absolutely love this eye shadow but am disappointed that Nars has clearly cut back on the volume per package. One use and I am already showing the bottom of the container. For the money this is just not worth it any more.
