Did I just buy Birkenstocks?

I’ve given in and bought a pair of Birkenstocks. I knew they’d be a challenge breaking in, so I made sure to wear them on short errands and even around the house cleaning and cooking. The biggest pain point was my left pinky toe. (I’m sure every person will experience different challenges with breaking in).After two weeks that did the trick and now they’re pretty much broken in. It’s sandal season here year around in Arizona and the lifetime of these shoes certainly make the price tag worth it. I never thought I’d think a pair of Birkenstocks is what my shoe collection was missing, but here we are.
I love the birks with the soft foot bed. They cost 10 dollars more but, it’s worth it.

Birkentocks used to be one of my favorites!

These fit too narrow and are not made as well as they used to be! I was so disappointed! I so wanted to love them as I have with my previous pairs!

Do not buy the metallic leather sandals

They were horrible. I wore them pretty gently 2-3 times, and they crease like cheap plastic. Very stiff straps, difficult to adjust. Not worth the Birkenstock sticker price. I exchanged for an oiled leather pair instead.
