First : What used to be blue and green is now all black. Not the classic Purcells, Disappointing. Second: They are flimsier than the originals I had in the 60's. Not the same sturdy high quality construction of the originals. 2nd rate. Shame on Converse for this cheap imitation. I would happily pay more for the real thing.
The shoe looks great. The black laces dress the JP up a bit and the new arch support is a treat. Be aware, they run VERY big- like order 2 sizes down big. I typically wear a women’s 8.5 or 9. Ordered the 8.5W/7M. Huge. Returned and purchased 8W/6.5M. Better. I’ve been wearing Converse forever and this is the first time I’ve needed an 8.
