Discovered a defect too late

I have always been a huge Allen Edmonds fan. American made, and after the break-in period they are usually superb shoes that last and last. Usually. Unfortunately it appears the Park Avenues have a design defect. The perforations along the cap the have created a weak spot, and a fairly new pair of Park Avenues (and by fairly new I mean less than 2 years old...I keep them a long time, i have some AE shoes over 10 years old) has ripped right along that perforation. Very disappointing, as I don't over strain the shoes, I have about 7 pairs and wear each pair once a week or less. I have Cliftons, Sanfords, Park Avenues and a McAlister, and have had a few other styles as well. This is the first premature death, and I am a little disappointed. I was going to buy a Park Avenue to replace my very worn (inside) McAlister, but will try something else now.

Good looking shoe, the bridge of the shoe too tight.

The shoe is very attractive. My issue is with the bridge of the shoe put too much pressure on my left foot and as a result it was painful to walk. I could not continue to wear them. I am still a long time customer, just have to watch which shoes I buy.

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Left foot shoe has a straight line indentation on the toe portion of the shoe. Should have been sold as a slight imperfection shoe. Not happy with my value on this purchase. First time in six shoe purchases I have been unhappy.

Sizing Issues

Sizing is trickly for my narrow foot. This didn't work. Sent these shoes back to the factory. Will reqgroup and try again with a different style.
