Prosgentleman's must
I purchased two pairs of the Park Avenue while they were discounted for the anniversary event, but I would gladly pay full ticket for ANY AE in the future. The material is thick, it feels durable, and looks simply immaculate. Expect to take a good week to ten days breaking them in, but when you do-its like you've owned them for years. This is our grandfather's shoe; the way things used to be made...

I own 4 pairs of Allen Edmonds shoes. All four pairs (including the one reviewed here) are made on what Allen Edmonds calls the "65 last" and referring to the form used to make the shoes. Three of them fit perfectly. The Park Avenue pair, however, was just a bit too snug and I had to go to a half size larger, which are a just a bit not snug enough. I will have to see how they perform over time and hope that they do not stretch very much. I think the reason for the difference is that the lacing area on these shoes come together on the end toward the toe. All my other 65 last shoes have lacing areas that are not joined at the bottom, allowing for more latitude in "snugness".
Nonetheless, these shoes are elegant and perfect with suits. The subtle cap and clean lines allow them to go with almost anything.

Classic shoe syle of ages! No one makes em like Allen Edmonds!
The dark brown burnished leather oxford is an amazing shoe and matches virtually with any style. It's slightly tight at first but manages to mold to your feet over time. I highly recommend this classic, especially if it's your first Allen Edmonds.
