These were purchased as my teenage stepson's first quality dress shoes and he loves them. Great fit and great service as always from Nordstrom.

Prospoor quality and, poor service
The main issue is that the right rubber sole literally just fell off in the middle of the day. I see from other reviews that this has been a problem over the previous 2 years. I had worn these maybe 20 times and each time consists of a 4 minute walk to then sit down all day. They still looked and smelled brand new. I take extremely good care of my shoes by always using the proper trees, AE cleaning and polishing products and i maintain them very regularly. Thankfully Nordstrom's was willing to exchange them for me. I had previously contacted Allen Edmonds as these were nowhere near as comfortable as previous AEs that I'd had, and I suspected there was a defect somehow, because they hurt my right foot so badly. Ive had and still own other pairs of AEs and never had on like this pair. ?Now my concerns were confirmed when th wheel just fell off the same shoe. However AE's customer service only stands behind their product if you buy it directly from them. Buy from Nordstrom and you are of no value to them. They pretty much told me to go away because I did not buy from AE online. So now I have a new pair (which I am not happy about due to the difficulty of breaking in the last pair) and we'll see if these hold up any better than the previous.

Excellent Quality

These shoes are very well make with fine quality leather. They came quickly in the mail. As a gift, I didn't get the sizing right and they were quickly exchanged by mail for the correct size. Love them!
We purchased these for our son who is a working professional who loves Allen Edmonds shoes but hates to shop. He reports that these are exactly what he wanted.
