Great quality shoe

Bought this shoe in black on sale for work wear and I must say it is a very well made shoe and Allen Edmonds is a great brand. Make sure to be fitted for these shoes because I ended up need a B which is narrow and not what I normally wear.
I was originally wary that this captoe would be a little "too classic," but after putting them on my fears were eliminated. The Park Avenue in Merlot has a very subtle burnished toe and the body of the shoe looks a lot narrower on your foot than it appears in photos. And as always, AE offers stellar build quality and they use top notch materials.
Allen Edmonds shoes tend to run slightly big so I went down a half a size and it fits perfectly.
Wear it with your "business casual" attire (i.e. wool slacks and a button down shirt) or wear it with a suit. Treat your shoes with respect by using shoe trees and your AE's will last a very long time. The AE Park Avenue is a staple that belongs in every man's closet and what's more, it's classic look will never go out of style.
I've had Park Ave's for a couple months now and I can't imagine life without these or any pair of Allen Edmonds. I normally wear a 10.5 in Nike's and in Park Ave's I wear a 9.
Get some shoe trees and polishing supplies from Allen Edmonds and take good care because these shoes will last a lifetime. There is no better shoe for the price and I highly recommend all Allen Edmonds products.
