Poor Quality for an Expensive Shoe

I purchased my pair of Allen Edmonds after hearing many good things however I thought I was purchasing a quality made shoe. I’ve had my pair about 6 months now and you would think that I have had them for 4 years. After about 3-4 months I had to take them to a shoe cobbler because the Sole was destroyed and now the leather keeps chipping and getting chewed up. To top it off I went to lace them this morning and the lace completely snapped in half.

I have been looking for dress shoes in a more neutral brown. This is harder than one would think. I found the perfect color, at least for me, with the "coffee brown" color of the Park Avenues.
