Fine quality. Easy fit first time worn. Classic shoe style

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shoe is made of fine leather with excellent workmanship. First time worn, it felt comfortable with no "breaking in" period. The shoes were even packaged nicely - including a really lovely letter from their customer relations department while, not entirely personalized, made you think that the company really does are about your satisfaction.

Really love the AE Cap-Toe's. The looks is clean and super versatile, and they've quickly became my go-to's from anything from business casual to more formal events. The quality is excellent and way better than competitor shoes that are in the same price range. I also like that the shoes are surprisingly light, which makes it much easier to spend the entire day in them. Definitely would recommend!

A little disappointed because the box arrived damaged. These are a gift for my in-laws graduation and the box looks like someone threw it down the stairs. Besides that, there is already scuffs on one of the shoes as if it has been worn. Obvious kinks in the stitching as well. They were right when they said AE’s quality had gone downhill. Last pair I will be purchasing from this company.

Without hesitation the Allen Edmonds shoes have always been my favorite and honestly the only shoes I have worn for over 20 years. However this pair is not exactly what I expected from AE. I needed a wider shoe and even went into the AE in Atlanta for a measurement. When I ordered the shoes, they were and are very tight and have not stretched. Also they apprear to be made differently. One shoe has a darker finish than the other so I only wear them for something very casual and not for business wear. A little disappointed but will order others in the future.
