Hard to get, But Worth it

My wife has been telling me all year how much she wanted this boot. As it turns out every woman in North America wants this boot as well. I saw my wifes shoe guy at Westside Pavillion (Sowme) (Nickname) and there were about 30 pairs available that day.. Turns out that while we were waiting for employee shop night to hit, all 30 pairs got ordered up in just a few days! I was shocked! But my man didn't let my wifes christmas wish go un-fulfilled. He tried every day, every morning to see if one pair pops up for order.. Over a week went by and then i got word he had one pair that popped up for order and he got it for me!
This is a sexy boot that looks amazing, it is simple and refined without all the bells and whistels that make some boots look ridiculus,, It is for a professional woman that isn't aiming to impress with all that bling... I wish it was a bit easier to get though. :)

These boots get such rave reviews, so I broke down and purchased, but I am almost certainly returning these. True, they are quite comfortable to walk in. They look kind of cool from the front, but the big elastic stretch in the back simply looks like a goofy knee high stocking!? Almost like medical compression stockings worn for varicose veins and to prevent vein clots and leg edema, but not quite as chic. The big goofy elastic looks really dumb over bare legs or leggings with skirts but even more so pulled up over jeans. Then I saw a short girl wearing these and her legs looked very much like Popeye's, and not in a good way. Sure the elastic can fit over your um "athletic" (read: big/fat/huge) calves. But elastic can be very unforgiving, and do you really want the whole world to see just how "athletic" your calves are? Another factor I considered with these boots is how ubiquitous they are now. I walked into the Stuart Weitzman store to try these on prior to purchasing them online. The sales person was really helpful and friendly but probably inadvertently talked me out of these boots by describing how many people she knew who had them and just "love, love, loved" them, including herself. Personally, I would prefer not to drop $600 on a boot that every chick in town owns, from the saleslady to the mail-lady. Instead I'd rather invest that much money in a less common boot that no one else is rocking. 50/50 - no, thank you.

I've been searching online and in store for over the knee boots in neutral color and I got so excited when I saw this color online. Topo suede it is. I ask our personal shopper to get it for me and she had it shipped right away. When I tried it on I fell in love with it right away so I ask my personal shopper to get me the black one that I saw in our local Nordstrom store. So glad they had it in my size at the store while I was there. Now I have it in 2 colors. So comfortable I did not want to take it off. I can walk in them all day long. If it comes in gray color I will definitely get it. LOVE LOVE LOVE! and I'm obsessed. Get half size down coz they run a little big, I'm between 8 -8 1/2 and I got the 8. Go get it while they are still available.

I thought I could neither fit nor rock these boots, but I was totally wrong. I have HUGE calves, bigger than yours, and I have kinda short legs in proportion to my torso. But I tried them on at my local store and left 20 minutes later with my new boots - I had been salivating over them for more than 2 years. The elastic is really sturdy but flexible. The trick to putting them on is to fold them in half inside out and doing it in 2 parts. Be careful if you have long nails not to grab the leather so you don't leave marks on it!!! After wearing the boots for about 3 times, they started to mold to my legs, which makes them easier to pull on and off. The run about a half size too big, but I didn't size down so I can be comfy with trouser socks in them.
