I had a hard time deciding between the Denali with the hood and the one without the hood. But I prefer this jacket over the hooded one because it's more compact and simply just looks better.
Functionality wise, it does everything it's supposed to do: keep you dry and warm. I used this for the winter time in California and even brought it to New York in the spring time! The fleece is soft and have not noticed any fuzz forming. There are two zip pockets located at each side to keep your hands warm. There is another zip pocket on the left breast big enough to hold anything important! In my case, on a rainy day I don't like carrying a purse, so I keep my credit cards and cash in that pocket to stay dry!
Sizing seems to run true to size. I am 5' and 110 lbs so I decided to order the XS in black. The XS fit nicely on me with room to spare for layering underneath. What I did find to be a slight annoyance was the length. This jacket came up a bit short for me for some reason. It ran right above my waistline. So bending over to grab something in the wind exposed my lower back to the chill. What's great though is that opposed to other jackets, the Denali manages to not make me look like a huge marshmallow!
Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase! I've had it for almost a year now and it's still in great shape! My first TNF purchase and hopefully not my last!

Proswarm, trendy, comfortable
I love The North Face brand. I am always pleased with the quality. I just bought the black one because I really wanted one to go with everything. This jacket wears well with a sweatshirt underneath or by itself. I love the classic look to this coat. You will love it!!

Great winter jacket

This jacket is so soft and cozy, it reminds me of waking up and snuggling in-between flannel sheets on a cold winter day. I have two different colors and now the black. I am excited to wear it up to the mountain and down to the beach, as it work wherever I go. Nordstroms is my go to store for all my NorthFace needs. Best winter jackets and raincoats ever!
