Disappointing fragrance, not moisturizing enough

I was so excited to get this lotion. I recently switched to wearing this fragrance and I absolutely love it! This lotion doesn't smell anything like it is supposed to though. It's way off, smelling almost medicinal - like the hand soap at the doctor's office. Who wants to smell like that?! I'm used to much richer creams and this light lotion simply doesn't provide enough moisture to keep my dry skin happy during the day in the middle of the East Coast winter. I wanted to love this lotion, but now I'm bummed I'm stuck with so much of it.
Just want to say that even though this product is labeled a "perfumed" body lotion, I think that term really can be misleading. To my way of thinking, it simply does not smell like what is generally thought of as a perfume. It is just a marvelously CLEAN smell. I love it! It's fresh! I work in a medical setting where perfumes are not advised. On days when I am headed to my shift, I sometimes use just the slightest amount of Pure Grace, and very, very often patients will say, "Oh, you smell so wonderful." Pure Grace is simply not the kind of scent that is ever offensive. I wouldn't want to do without it.
It is the most heavenly scent it makes me feel fresh and happy every day.

I had not previously smelled this before selecting this scent. It is as stated, very clean smelling. Can see how it would be easy to layer any fragrance over it. The lotion is thick & rich-you don't need a lot to cover your skin. You do feel plenty hydrated.
The only "miss" for me is that I'm using both the shower gel & lotion, but the scent doesn't linger-at all. Was hoping not to have to add the matching fragrance, but can see without that you're not going to notice you have anything special on. Also, it's pricey for no smell benefit.
