This is a duplicate to the Nordstrom-branded slipper I first received as a gift -- oh, 25 or more years ago. I loved it then, and bought another pair as soon as the first was worn through in about 6 years. I wear slippers full-time in the house, so these get many hours a day of wear, particularly since retirement, but the Neoprene-like soles are very durable on wood, rug and ceramic tile -- plus the trek out to pick up the newspaper or to water plants on our deck.
Now on my fourth pair and third decade of these slippers, I found this model is still available, so I'm reordering. I couldn't say how many other kinds of slippers I've tried and thrown away because they just weren't comfortable, or the heels slipped too much, or the rough-out leather absorbed too much water when I went out to pick up the paper or water the yard. These, with their supple deerskin, may get damp, but don't absorb much water at all and dry without a stain. They breathe. They never squeak. No stitching has failed.
And yes, they started out a bit tight. But because deerskin is relatively thin and so soft in the hand, they stretch into comfort in only a few days' wearing. After recovering from a broken ankle, I required insole supports in my years-old slippers, which the deerskin accomodated comfortably in a few days. I can't say the same for my other shoes.
But nothing lasts forever. The full deerskin lining is showing wear, and one sole is beginning to separate -- but not wear through. I think averaging six years on a single pair of slippers earns them five stars, even if they might be a bit tight at first.

Bought this for my uncle. The second he put them on, he was in heaven. They're not just true to size, but unbelievably comfortable. He loves the soles as they're non-marking, and they are perfect for walking outside. Completely worth the price!

I bought these for a friend, he had ordered them in the past, and they lasted 3 years before there was some wear. Last year I bought these, and 3 months into the wear of them they show wear and tear. Not good quality for any price! I can't even return them, because I sent them overseas....
