Cheap and Poorly Constructed

I was so excited to receive the Duvet cover, shams, and bedskirt in the mail the other day, but was so disappointed when I opened the duvet cover package.
The interior ties weren't sewn down and started to fray horribly when I first used it. Another minor detail they neglected to consider was the placement of the ties. They were in the corners of the cover, and when the duvet is inserted and tied down, the placement of the ties caused the corners to turn inside out, which looked just wrong.
I ended up going to Macy's and for 1/2 the price, bought a duvet cover set from the Martha Stewart collection. It was impeccably made and every little detail was well thought out and executed.

We have the whole Heavenly Bed collection, and this is a nice duvet, but I keep having issues with the zipper - I have had to return it twice because the zipper keeps breaking.

It comes tightly bundled in a small package. Haven't used it yet since I'm waiting for the insert, but it is soft to the touch!

This duvet is well worth the money. It's soft, has a zipper rather than buttons, and has the ties in each corner to attach the comforter inside. Cheaper duvets rarely have a zipper and the tie-downs. Just make sure to read the drying directions carefully. The drying instructions on the packaging differ than the ones on the label inside the duvet. Dry on low heat only otherwise it will shrink. The entire bed in white gives it a cool, crisp look for spring and summer. I dress it up with some decorative pillows.
