Sorry to be the first one to knock it - despite the look and ingredients, and La Prairie panache, this perfume is mediocre, boring, and packaged in a poorly made bottle. FYI this product is made in USA and not Switzerland or France.
This fragrance was created in 2006 and includes guava, mandarin, pomegranate and freesia (top note), white lily, orchid, plum blossom and amber (middle note), and patchouli, vetiver, cashmere and musk (base note). Sounds intriguing, doesn't it?
The bottle looked so interesting on-line but in person however, it happened to be cheaply made with the lid that does not stay on. The perfume inside the bottle was pretty run-of-the-mill. It starts out nicely and intriguing with the unusual, realistic guava note. However, this quickly fades, and all I am left with is a conventional "fruity-nilla-chouli" like every other perfume in the mall. The longevity of this perfume is about 1.5 - 2 hours; silage is moderate.
Unfortunately Midnight Rain from La Prairie did not leave up to my expectations. I would finish the bottle but I will not repurchase it again.To the prospective buyers I would suggest trying this fragrance a few times before acquiring it.
