The finest texture, the sweetest most subtle fragrance, the feel on the lips, the heavy metallic packaging, the colors! Yes, it can ONLY be Guerlain lip color. The best.
Guerlain KissKiss lipstick in #523 Exces de Rouge is an exceptionally beautiful blue/red lipstick. For those of us who are red lip junkies, this one is very special. I have fair skin and blue eyes and this particular shade of red is the best I have seen for my coloring. The lipstick is moisturizing and not matte. This makes it necessary touch up a bit more often but the trade off is that it is not at all drying. For comparison, Rouge d'Armani #400 stays on and on and on and you can eat and drink and it is still on. But it definitely dries out the lips much more than the KissKiss. Also, I highly recommend using the KissKiss Lip Base as it makes the lipstick last longer.
Proslong-wearing, non-sticky, moisturizing, nice pigment, medium coverage
This is a nice, luxe lipstick. It is moisturizing, but not overly wet. The level of pigment is perfect--you can dab on a light layer for a fairly sheer finish, or you can wear it more full-on for medium coverage. I tend to like sheer color. This is definitely not opaque or aging.
The color I got, Peche Fougeuse, looks like a very bright peach in the tube but settles into a really lovely shade on the lips. There is the slightest hint of shimmer.
a beautiful formula, glides on easily and smoothly (especially over Guerlain's KissKiss Lip Base), doesn't dry my lips and has good, but not great lasting power. My only complaint is the shades are somewhat limited and there were not enough opaque shades to select from, I prefer a lipstick with a lot of pigment.
