Not quite the same shoe from 20 years ago, but still a winner.

I've been wearing AE since 1990 and have always purchased them off and on through the years. The quality of the leather and craftsmanship has gone down a little bit, but they are still superior to about 90% of what's being manufactured today. At 6'2" and 300Lbs, they seem to be sturdy enough to last me for many years. Also, the shoe refurbishment program is easy to keep them in top shape.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my first pair in Dallas Texas in 2007. I love them so much I wear them almost daily. I moved to Sydney Australia. Of course they have nothing like these. I am so happy to find I can buy direct from the factory. Not cheap but well worth the price.

Hard to fit foot

I like the style and construction on A-E shoes. I have difficulty with the top of my right foot getting pins and needles from shoes. I desperately want to have a pair of shoes that are comfortable but every style I've tried irritates this problem so far.

Disappointed with the quality, had to return it.

Disappointed with the quality, had to return it. Shoemaker’s cut marking are are still visible on the soles edge and heels. Stiff leather .Expected better for a high ticket item
