I appreciated the leather used in previous years

The shoe is solidly constructed and the fit is spot on which is great because my feet are difficult to fit. At the same time, I concur with the previous review that the leather is thinner and of a lower quality than in previous years. I have worn this shoe twice and it has developed serious creasing which makes it look as if I have been wearing them for years. I have not had this issue with my other AE shoes which still look great after countless wears. Of course, creasing is normal but this is too much too soon.

The top leather is much thinner these days. It was a great shoe years ago. Now it needs better leather on the top of the shoe.

The shoe top leather these days is much thinner than years ago. It was a great shoe in those days. You need to go back to the better top leather to be great again.
