I’m a woman purchasing these shoes in a size 6 (I’m an 8 or 8.5 in women’s shoes), since Mephisto has discontinued the Rush, which was the women’s version of this shoe. I wear a 3/4 orthotic, so I take out the original insole, add 2 layers of Spenco, with my orthotic on top. I like the rounder toe of the men’s shoe. I have to use the 2 layers of Spenco instead of one because the shoe is deeper than the women’s version. But the extra layer of cushioning works well for me. I hope Mephisto continues to make this style available in this small size. My sensitive feet need the cushioning of the thick rubber sole.
The shoes were not for me. Long time fan of Mephisto shoes i was disappointing to find out they are uncomfortable to walk, run with and surprisingly narrow in toe section. While the quality of the materials is great, the comfort level not so much.
Fashionable comfort!!! A delight to blend fashion and comfort into a shoe-- I truly believe these are the best walking shoes period. The level of detail and quaility goes along way, especially since they're resollable shoes.
