Too small and narrow

Proscute, too small, too narrow, stylish
ConsMedium width
I love Athena Alexander shoes! I ordered these slides because the bronze color matches a cocktail dress I have in bronze.
I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered one size up (size 10). They were a little too short and too narrow. I sent those back and ordered the size 11. They were long enough but still too narrow! I was so disappointed and sent them back too.
FYI, I went to a bricks-and-mortar shoe store the same week and had the saleslady measure my foot. They are exactly a size 9. My feet are a little wide but not extremely wide. I wish Athena Alexander would either make their slides a little wider or off a B or wider size option.

I'm thinking that shoemakers are enamored of the world's tiniest woman. Either that, or most are masochists who want shoes to cause pain. That said, Nordstrom is a great company and offers a great selection of shoes. Perhaps an enterprising employee could create a simple shoe template showing actual length, heel width, and sole width for each style because I know my feet don't change that much from purchase to purchase. Returns cost everybody, in time spent at the minimum.

I already own a pair of these in which I purchased a couple of years ago. I liked them so much I recently bought another pair. The newer ones are not real leather. Just after wearing them twice, they stretched too wide, where my toes go past the end of the shoe. My older pair made of real leather is still keeping my toes in and not at all stretched out! These are going back...
