I've used this product for years and consider it one of my skincare staples. The ingredients (the niacinamide in particular) lead to improved skin texture and more even skin coloring when the product is used consistently over time. I think this product is especially beneficial to anyone with oily, combination, or acne-prone skin. If you have dry skin, this product might not be for you as the first ingredient is isopropyl alcohol that can be drying.
I LOVE THIS!!!!! I apply my sunblock/moisturizer first, then Buffering Lotion, then the Drying Mask and this thing works like a charm! I had great skin in my teenage years and as an adult I've gotten crazy huge, deep and painful cystic acne on my forehead. Now after applying the Buffering Lotion I have a fully expressed whitehead in a few hours with no pain.
There are some reviews on here that equate this to rubbing alcohol however rubbing alcohol damages the skin and drys it out however this product is great at drying without damaging skin.
Make sure to balance out with a strong moisturizer (ie MB's Glycolic Skin Renewing Complex)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this item. I’ve used other Mario Badescu items before, and stumbled upon this when my face was breaking out. It is amazing I have noticed a difference over the past 3 DAYS! Not only has my acne considerably been reduced, but it has also tone out some of the dark spots left from acne. It’s amazing, everyone who has ever had a problem with acne should try this!
I'm rediscovering why I love Mario Badescu products. The Buffering Lotion helps to shrink pimples and keep new ones from forming. The smell of alcohol is a little stronger in this product, and I know many people are weary of using this ingredient on skin, but being that I have oily skin it doesn't feel drying.
