Smells like a badger

This brush has a terrible smell, like a wet badger or a wet horse, even after washing it several times with liquid hand soap and water. It is soft, though.

I've been shaving without a brush ever since I started shaving 55 years ago. A friend gave me some shaving soap that was meant to be used with a brush. I was surprised at how expensive some of the brushes were and found this brush at Nordstrom. I was amazed at what a different it has made and how much closer my shave is. Admittedly I have nothing to compare this brush to since it's the first one I've ever used but based on the difference I've experienced using it I would highly recommend it.

I purchased this along with the AOS Lavender shave cream for my husband. He loves the lather the brush creates and it really does help to lift the hairs from face for a very close smooth shave. Many people complained about the brush having an odor-I have an extremely sensitive sense of smell and it did not bother me in the least. It does have a natural scent and he could smell it during the first few uses. If used with a scented shave cream it is not all that noticeable and the scent does not stay on skin itself. The slight odor has dissipated over the first weeks of use when rinsed well and hung to dry on the AOS brush stand. I would recommend the stand so that the brush dries properly. I am very impressed with the AOS products and my husband now enjoys and looks forward to shaving.
