Lippmann Lacquer Mini Mitts
PostedJune 9, 2015
Prostravel friendly, one hand apiece, light scent, cleans well, clever idea, hydrating, easy to use
Travel friendly portable remover but take a few on the go. One mitt wasn't enough even for one hand, with a glittery/flakey topcoat, two creme coats, and base coat. I kept a right hand nail in the mitt and placed left hand fingers on the outside of the mitt to absorb remover. When I took the mitt off, I still had polish on that finger but four of my left hand nails were almost clean. I tried another right hand nail or two in the mitt, and kept the left hand on the outside. By then my left hand nails were all clean and right hand nails were not. Ended up putting regular nail polish remover on the mitt to finish the right hand nails. What’s the point of that when I can get the job done faster and cheaper with cotton and a bottle. Guess it also depends how much polish needs removal.
Clever idea but best for travel. I'd take a few to be sure. Pleasant light scent.

OK- but need to use 2 if using glitter/layers

If you are like me and layer and use glitter, especially Deborah Lippmann glitter polish, you will probably need to use two of the mitts, which is pricey for just removing polish.
The mitts work well, but beware, it is just one mitt per package. One mitt fits over your finger and you have to do each finger individually which is sort of a pain. I mean, it may as well just be a large square, if you have to keep using the same mitt for each finger. At least with a square you can use different portions to get maximum usage.
It would be good if there was a mitt for each finger, but I suppose that would be too costly, considering each mitt is soaked in remover product.
On the plus side, the remover does smell nice and doesn't dry out the skin. It's a great formula and is good for travel and since they are individually wrapped, they are great for adding on as little gifts like a goody bag, favor, or stocking stuffer.
I would still recommend this product but only for travel or breaking apart as gifting purposes alone, or if you have sensitive skin and can't use drugstore brand removers.
See attached photo for reference. Before removal, I used the gel lab base and top coat and 3 colors (Recipe for Love)- one of which was a glitter, all Deborah Lippmann brand which I highly recommend and can be purchased at Nordstrom.

Messy AND Pricey
PostedJuly 24, 2014
I did not like much about this product besides the scent (which you can still receive without purchasing the removing mitt)!
I had red polish on and when I used the mitt, it spread the polish all over each finger! Now the top half of all my fingers are dyed red! Also, it seems as if the mitt took longer to remove my polish because it was difficult to get the polish removed from the crevices of my nails. I think from now on I'll stick with regular cotton balls as they're cheaper, faster and don't spread color from nail polish onto the insides of my fingers!

I purchased this for the third time! It is a great remover and does the job without a lot of mess. Great stocking stuffer.
