Prosgood for daily use, foamy, gentle
This is my favorite Kiehl's shampoo. Great for everyday use as it's not heavy. Leaves hair soft and shiny. I use it with the paired conditioner.

Great shampoo

I've only used this twice, but so far it's a great shampoo! It smells lovely and lathers nicely. It doesn't make my hair feel straw like and it definitely doesn't make my hair frizzy. My hair feels incredibly soft after using this! I've only used it in combination with the amino acid conditioner, so I'm not sure how great it would be on its own? My hair is fine, shoulder length and color treated several times a year. I think this is a great daily shampoo :)
For years, I used an expensive, salon brand, and loved it. Last year, they reformulated their shampoo, and it no longer works for my hair. Thus began a year of shampoo searching. I have tried at least a dozen shampoos ranging from drugstore to salon brands, and suffered a bit of a Golidlocks problem where nothing was "just right". Most formulas left my hair either stripped dry, or weighed down and greasy. On a whim, I picked up a travel sized bottle of Kiehl's Amino Acid shampoo on my last shopping trip. I wish I would have done this months ago. My hair is fine in texture, but plentiful. There is a lot of it, and it has a natural wave. The biggest selling point for me on this shampoo (and its matching conditioner) is that it contains no silicone. Silicone tends to build up on my hair, and I prefer to avoid it, when I can. The scent isn't heavy or perfumey, I find it light and unnoticeable once my hair has dried. This shampoo cleans my hair without stripping it, the coconut oil keeps my frizz at bay without weighing my hair down, and leaves it soft. Packaging may not be much to look at, but it is what's inside that counts, and this shampoo strikes a perfect balance for me.
