This is a nice, lightweight, non-sticky straightening cream. Helps the brush glide through my hair during blow-outs. Good price for a great product.

Proseasy to use, lightweight, non-sticky
I have naturally thick, wavy, and VERY frizzy hair, and had been looking for a more natural cream to use as heat protectant for straightening (previously had been using CHI spray). After about a week and half, I'm a little on the fence about the Kiehl's cream as straightening cream, but it's a great frizz control cream! After I shower, I'll use a bit to make sure the waves don't get out of control as my hair air dries. If I'm straightening dry hair, I'll put a bit on each layer right before I straighten it. The smell also seems fine to me, unlike some other reviewers have mentioned. Very lightweight cream unless you put in too much and it gets greasy (see below).
I'm still experimenting to find the perfect amount that keeps my hair looking good -- if I don't put in enough, my hair gets poofy/frizzy again fairly quickly but if I put in just a little too much, my hair will instantly turn into a greasy mess. It's a fine line. I'd suggest adding very small amounts (pea-sized bits) at a time until you figure out what amount works for your hair! I'll keep trying out this cream but unless it can truly keep my hair styled and straight for an entire day without using the entire tube of product, I probably won't purchase it again as it's expensive. Worth a try though, especially with free shipping from Nordstrom!

I have long, relatively straight hair, but it will become "rumpled" and dry in appearance after exposure to wind, moisture, or just sleeping on it. This is after a blow out using another highly rated smoothing product then a flat iron.
Using only a small dab of Kiehl's Heat-Protective Silk Straightening Cream and the same hair dryer/flat iron styling (though much less time with the flat iron), my hair remains smooth and shiny for about 3 days!
I am very happy with the results and I will purchase this product again. My hair styliing routine is shorter and the results look better and last longer.
