too cakey for me :(

I have been using the Laural Mercier loose setting powder for about 4 years but wanted something with a little more coverage so I bought this one. I’m new to mineral make-up so maybe it’s my fault but no matter how many times I tried, it just ended up looking cakey and heavy, especially on my nose. Maybe my skin is too dry…? I used a few different type of moisturisers and setting spray but the results were the same. I wish it worked for me as many people seem to love it!

I was really looking forward to use this with my newly bought CC cream, but I was so disappointed! I got this in 'Natural Beige' which is recommended for light-to-medium skin tone, but I've found it is way darker than a standard medium. It is more like a light tan for medium-to-dark skin. Gave mine away as I couldn't use it myself.

Laura Mercier is known for being the queen of setting powders and for good reason. the powder is great, lightweight and helps to set makeup really well. I love the fact that it has SPF in it as I am incredibly pale and I need all the protection I can get.

First, I tried Laura Mercier powder 4 years ago and since then it has always been with me. This is a very good powder for fixing makeup. I have combination skin and only with this powder make-up lasts until the evening. She also does not dry my skin and is economical. I recommend it to everyone, especially people with oily and combination skin :)
