This is a great all purpose brush for mineral make up. It picks up and delivers just enough coverage in the first pass and makes the foundation look even and natural without much effort. Second application is needed for heavier coverage. the soft natural bristles do shed a little bit, especially when the brush is new. This goes away after a couple of uses. When it starts to shed heavily later, that means it's time to replace as the bristles are probably worn out and breaking off. The Handy Buki has nice dense bristling. The compact head is big enough to do the entire face quickly but small enough to get the area around your nose and under eyes.
Do wash every week or so with brush cleaner or baby shampoo so make up doesn't cake on the brush from oils and moisturizer from your face.

I have never had bare minerals brush shed on me! I am extremely disappointed. There is something different with how they are made from 10 years ago. I think you lost a customer!

I've used several different brushes that applied BareMinerals Original Foundation evenly, I thought I would give this one a try and well it is a keeper! Very satisfied with this brush!

Want one just like it with Synthetic bristles

This is a great great brush to use with the Original Loose Foundation, however, I just can not use it. I love how it performs, but I am allergic to it. It makes my face feel like it's burning and really itchy after I use it. It's a bummer because it's a fantastic brush otherwise. I wish one could be made just like this, but with synthetic bristles. I wish I wasn't so sensitive to the natural hair brushes because they are very good. I hope bareMinerals doesn't stop making them because I know there are plenty of people who love them. I just hope like I said, for us with allergies, we can have a synthetic handy buki brush because it is such an amazing brush. I know it won't be the exact same, but it's worth a shot.
