My dad likes Gucci usually but I noticed he started wearing more Burberry lately and he has this tan coat that I thought this scarf would match great. Soft cashmere and well made and keeps his neck a bit warmer since the coat does not have a collar. Now I'm sending him to scarf tying class.
I would like to preface my review by saying I've been shopping at Nordstrom for about ten years. I love this store, and I've had many great experiences here. Yesterday, I went to Short Hills in New Jersey to pick up the Burberry scarf I ordered online, and I was disappointed. The scarf is beautiful. It isn't an issue of quality; it is an issue of packaging and presentation. I was handed a small paper bag. When I looked inside, I saw my scarf thrown in there like a $15 scarf instead of a $520 scarf. I am by no means a high-maintenance person, but I found the packaging to be sub-par for Nordstorm. It almost felt like I was buying a knock-off on a street corner in lower Manhattan. Needless to say, I will probably go to the Burberry Store next time I want to purchase a scarf or gloves from them.
