I bought this bag to use for work, and I am happy with it overall. It can hold a lot of items, and the leather/style is beautiful. However, after having the bag for a year and a half, I do notice some wear on the straps.

I wanted to love this bag, but in the end it was more pretty than functional for me, as I need more pockets and like to have one on the outside for my keys (this is not that bag, it's much more elegant). I might rethink and buy this again sometime when I don't need as much function as elegance because it really is a lovely bag.
I have coveted this Longchamp bag for years. I only have a couple of handbags and I am very picky about what I will carry as I tend to keep bags for a long time. I have a leather Longchamp handbag that I purchased from Nordstrom ten years ago and it still looks new after daily use. I have kept the Roseau Tote on my wish list for the past 2 years and finally pulled the trigger when it went on sale. I received my tote quickly but even at the sale price, it wasn't worth the money. Like all of Longchamp's products, the bag was a nice shape and it was lightweight. Unfortunately, the gorgeous silver-toned clasp had scratches all over it as did the bag itself. And, it didn't ship with a dust bag which for $500, this tote should have one. I realize I could have exchanged the bag for one in better condition but I figured that if the clasp and bag scratched so easily that it arrived to me in that condition, I knew the bag wouldn't last well. Such a shame.
