La Canadienne makes a terrific waterproof winter boot - stylish, comfortable - hard to beat for an attractive urban boot for sloppy weather. I've had four pair over the years - the last pair the heels wore down in two years and aren't repairable. I'm hoping I get longer life out of these. Love the wedge for a little height, but still comfortable for walking. I have wider calves and these are a little snug, but I can close the zipper thanks to the little elastic insert. Maybe not the best boot you'll ever own, but nice quality and dependable.
I called them a bit narrow because, though true to size, you'll be hard pressed to wear a thicker winter sock with then.
I live in Chicago and my winter boots usually last only a season or two before they need to be replaced. These boots will be beginning their 5th season of wear, and they're still waterproof and good looking. Plus they're still stylish! If I calculate the cost per wear, they are truly a bargain.
I had been looking or an all weather suede boot that was fitting, not fur-lined or slouchy, etc. this one is gorgeous! Fits great, the wedge height seems like it is comfortable, the boot looks nice on. I haven't had a chance to wear it in rain/snow yet, but I'm looking forward to it!

I loved this boot - especially the comfort. But after only a week in mild, rainy weather, the heels of both boots appear cracked on the surface. I will try to exchange them for something else. I have had different La Cannadienne boots for over 5 years now and have always been happy with the quality. Not this time.
