I bought these in high gloss black. These are dressy enough to wear to work in inclement weather (I work in a corporate office, business formal). But more importantly, these are perfect if you need a good-looking weather proof boot. I bought these to wear to Iceland in October. I wore wool socks, and these boots. My feet stayed dry. I was even walking in streams to get the perfect photograph, and never had wet feel.
2nd pair of the black gloss - wore through the heel on the last pair . I have many pairs of hunter boots - at least 5. I’m in the Midwest and I’m a gardener- so I wear them a good deal all year round. Typical boot sizing
I bought these (tall black gloss) in preparation for four days of rain. I knew I’d be standing outside all day and wanted my feet to be dry. They kept my feet dry. I have very narrow calves so I wore leg warmers or boot toppers each day to keep the top closed. Without boot toppers there is a gap around my leg where rain can get into the boot. I also added an insert to the soul of the boot to make them a little more comfortable for all day wear. I love the look and would recommend them if you spend a lot of time in the rain.
