These are great - I am normally an 8/8.5 and went with the size 7. I do wish they would do half sizes. My last pair I had for 7 years and they hold up great. The shiny look is pretty and feminine. Will get a lot of use out of these!
I received these as a gift from Nordstrom a few years back and absolutely loved them at first. I bought the hunter boot care products and stored them in great conditions when it's not raining. I also only wear them around the city (not exposed to other elements). And while I wish I could recommend these boots because of how fashionable they are I truly can't do it.
After just 2 seasons of use, they are peeling and cracking and look like terrible cheap knockoff boots. I even took them into my local Nordstrom yesterday and asked for advice on how to fix them and he said he had never seen anything like it before. This is BY FAR the biggest waste of money I've spent on shoes. If you can afford to buy a new pair every other year then go for it. But if you expect the higher price means higher quality then, unfortunately, these are not for you.
The cracking along the ankle seems is also so bad that I am started to get embarrassed to wear them. What was a shortly lived functional fashion statement will probably have to go to the trash soon.
Just to say I am very disappointed is an understatement, I was really expecting more from this brand and so proud of my boots at first.
PLEASE PLEASE, if you are considering buying these just take a look at the other horror stories of these boots low quality online and make sure you are comfortable spending the money on something that will not last.
I ordered the gloss and the matte black. I preferred the matte. These are comfortable even with a heavy sock. I ordered the 7 and even though I usually wear a 7.5 they fit great.
