These boots are perfect for cold weather, very cozy. As you can tell from the photo, they aren't a sleek, girly boot. They are made for the outdoors. That being said, I love them and think they can look really cute and trendy with leggings and an oversized sweater. For sizing, I'm usually an 8.0 or 8.5, and based on reading many reviews (on this site and others) I was very confused about which size I should go with. I went against the Nordstrom recommendation on this site and ordered the 9.0. Oops. I tried them on with regular/everyday socks and with the faux fur liner in and they are too big. Tried them with thick wool socks (which I don't think I would need to wear with these as the faux fur liner provides enough insulation) and they were still too big. I definitely need the 8.0. So, I would say if you are between sizes, definitely go for the smaller size.

If you are looking strictly for warmth....you've got the right boot. But, if you want to look like you have cinder blocks for feet....you've got the right boot. Way too chunky and clunky for me. I looked like a lumberjack! Love every other pair of my Sorels but these were a huge miss for me

I bought these specifically for the grips on the bottom. I slipped and fell last winter and ended up in the hospital so I want to prevent that this year. I ordered my usual size even tho other reviews said this boot ran large. I'm glad I didn't go up a size because they are just right. Without the insert, they'd be too big. Like other reviewers mentioned- they'll last a lifetime! My husband saw them and now he wants a pair.

These seem like great boots. They ran large, and when I went to exchange, they were sold out of the smaller size. Bummer. The wool at the top is not real. That looked a bit cheap. They felt like they'd be really nice and warm, though. Overall, I liked them at a sale price.
