I'm from So Ca - student suffering/enjoying my first real winter in New England - of all winters! My Uggs (4 pairs) are not recommended in slush. The Sorel Caribou Boot is like an Ugg on a Sherman Tank - I was able to plow through -up and over - no slipping or soaking - any snow and ice pile impeding my path to classes. On time and warm with Sorel's!

Great Snow Boots

From what I had read on other reviews I should have gone down one size, but it was not available, so I got my true size. They actually fit really well. I could see how they would be big if they didn't have the sock insert, but the insert makes them snug. These boots keep my feet completely warm and dry, perfect for Boston winter weather. They are a bit clunky but you'll get used to them. They look great and I would recommend them to anyone.

This was my second pair of Sorel Caribou boots. I outgrew the previous pair after almost 20 years. The last few years, my feet had grown and I should have ordered a bigger size, but I never got around to it. I finally gave up my favorite pair of snow boots to my niece, and told her "don't you dare give these away...if they don't fit, I want them back...they are heirlooms". I was so excited when I got my package in the mail. How disappointing though, I'd forgotten that they ran very large, and ordered the wrong size! I will have to reorder a size smaller.
