I purchased this boot many years ago and wore them for years in pain, hoping they would eventually break in. They never did. They were cute, so I kept trying, but I found the shoe to be very narrow, with a lot of heel slip, and very heavy. I eventually donated them to goodwill.

These boots are exactly what I wanted.. Perfect motorcycle boot. Fits true to size and didn't require too much "breaking in".

Great heavy boot

I bought these after trying on a size 9 and 9.5. I couldnt decide between the sizes and because they are so thick, it's hard to feel where your toes actually are. I went with my true size and just wearing thin boot socks. I must warn that you need to wear tall socks because until they break in, the back of the lining rubs your calves. I was dying the first day. They look like a man's workboot but I love the rugged look. They will be great in the fall. I may waterproof them just in case.

These are the only Frye boots I haven't been able to get past the break in period. The heel heighth seems to pitch me forward and hurts my back. The left boot rubs my left leg at the shin and causes sores. I've only been able to wear them for short periods at a time. Disapointing since I own many other pairs and didn't expect this nor have I ever had a problem. They are cute though so I'll keep trying. I should have walked in them more when I first bought them before deciding to keep them. Not sure if Nordstrom will take them back now.
