I have used Clinique’s three step process for over 30 years. I was using the mild soap and suddenly my face was burning and red. I did some research and it lead me to this product. I first bought the smaller size that came with the lotion and primer. Immediately, my face was no longer irritated and burning. I don’t love the primer but I use the soap and lotion twice a day.

This is not a good cleanser. It does not foam and leaves an oily film on face. My skin is sensitive and after using this product, my skin broke out with bumps and acne. I bought it to help with redness and it did not help eliminate it.

This was the first step in getting my husband into skincare and to stop him from using bar soap on his face. He deals with a lot of facial redness, so this helps calm that. He quite likes his new routine and even uses my PMD cleansing device with it!
I like the consistency of this cleanser, the packaging, the tube, the texture but something about it or in it does not like my skin. Upon application a 'menthol' sensation happens which I do not understand since this product contains nothing menthol or eucalyptus etc. Anything in the menthol range is bad for truly sensitive skin in the long run. Ergo, I have stopped using this product. It also may be the culprit behind some recent facial itching. I will keep it to use in a pinch when I run out of my highly recommended Avene Tolerance Cleansing Lotion the auto-ship for which is sometimes delayed due to COVID. If you are looking for a truly gentle, amazing cleanser I recommend this Avene product. Harsh cleansers can ruin skin. Just because something is creamy & gentle does not mean it is not cleansing. I have glowing, clear, make-up free 58 yr old skin that strangers stop me on the street to compliment and I achieve it by using gentle products.
