Gorgeous-but may demagnetize credit cards?

Prosunderstated, luxurious
This is understated yet luxurious money clip that I bought as a gift. My friend keeps credit card and cash in his clips and felt the magnet would demagnetize his credit cards. He did not try to see if it would, so I don't know. I love it.
